Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil on a full-time basis, starting after the October half-term break.
The successful candidate will support a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment.
The RoleAs a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 5 pupil throughout the school day
- Implement strategies to support engagement, focus and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
- Adapt learning activities to meet the child's individual needs
- Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Experience working with children with ASC and/or ADHD
- A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations
- Previous experience within a primary school setting (desirable)
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
