Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools (SEN Support)

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

We are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Salford, Bolton and Bury who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide classroom support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Help create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • A recent graduate considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling or youth work.
  • Passionate about supporting young people with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
