We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Mainstream Primary School in Blackburn on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA or an aspiring education professional looking to develop their career within a supportive primary school environment.

The successful candidate will undertake a general Teaching Assistant role, working closely alongside the school's SENCO to support SEND pupils within Key Stage 2 (KS2). You will play a key role in helping children access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

• Provide classroom support across KS2.
• Work alongside the SENCO to support pupils with SEND needs.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Support learning activities and classroom engagement.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or similar role is desirable.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is advantageous.
• Understanding of KS2 curriculum and classroom practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
