Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

Working Pattern: Full-Time

A secondary school in the Dukinfield area is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their support team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA or someone with previous experience working within a secondary school environment.

About the Role:

You will work alongside teachers and support staff to help students achieve their academic and personal goals. The role will involve supporting learning in the classroom, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping pupils engage with their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support across a range of subjects.
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and encourage participation.
  • Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working within a secondary school setting.
  • Is confident building positive relationships with young people.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is reliable, proactive and committed to supporting student success.
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
