We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at our welcoming primary school in South Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in reaching their full potential while working as part of a friendly and collaborative staff team.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support pupils in the classroom, working alongside the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support children with a range of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), where appropriate.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and social development.
  • Supervise pupils during breaktimes, educational visits and other school activities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience of working with primary-aged children (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
  • Has a good standard of English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent).
  • Is passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, caring, flexible and committed to helping every child succeed.
  • Can work effectively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
