Teaching Assistant in Halton, Cheshire

A passionate and supportive primary school in Runcorn is looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 3 class alongside the school's Deputy Head Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and skilled TA with Primary experience to make a real impact while supporting both the class teacher and pupils in their learning.

The role will involve a mixture of general classroom duties and occasional class cover, so applicants must be proactive, adaptable, and confident in leading learning when required.

Responsibilities:

• Providing targeted support to groups and individual pupils, including those with additional needs

• Assisting with planning, preparation, and classroom organisation

• Covering lessons on occasion, ensuring high standards of behaviour and learning are maintained

• Supporting pupil progress through effective assessment and feedback

• Contributing to the wider school community and extracurricular opportunities

Requirements:

• Experience working in Key Stage 1 or 2

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A positive, flexible, and professional approach
