Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants in primary schools needed across Birmingham.



Job Overview:

  • Role: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Birmingham areas including Handsworth, Smethwick, Hockley, Winson Green, and surrounding areas
  • Start Date: 7 September 2026
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Contract: Long-term position with the possibility of becoming permanent


Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the classroom.
  • Provide general classroom assistance.
  • Work one-to-one with pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Carry out day-to-day teaching assistant duties.


Essential Requirements:

You must have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • At least 6 months' experience working in schools.
  • GCSE English and Maths.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date employment references.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday during term time.
