Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support - Crosby

Location: Crosby, Sefton
Start Date: ASAP until 16th October 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: £98 per day

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? Tradewind Education is recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Crosby, providing personalised support to a Year 7 male pupil with AuDHD.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and build positive relationships within the school environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent, tailored support to a Year 7 pupil with AuDHD. The role will involve supporting his:

• Social development, including communication, peer relationships and navigating the school environment.
• Emotional and mental wellbeing, helping him to recognise and manage emotions and develop appropriate regulation strategies.
• Academic progress, providing encouragement and targeted support across the secondary curriculum.
• Confidence and independence both inside and outside the classroom.
• Engagement with lessons and wider school activities.
• Transitions between lessons and different areas of the school where required.

You will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEND team to ensure the pupil receives consistent and appropriate support throughout the school day.

Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• A full career history
• At least two professional references, including your most recent placement
• The legal right to work in the UK
