Teaching Assistant in Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Trust Education are recruiting on behalf of a primary school in the WF2 area for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant . This is part-time role, starting as soon as possible, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Key Stage 1 team supporting Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.

The Role:

• Support teaching and learning across Year 1 and Year 2 during all classroom sessions
• Working with small groups and individual pupils
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting pupils of all abilities and learning needs to achieve their potential
• Working collaboratively with staff, pupils and parents to support positive outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a minimum Tecahing Assistant status or have relevant experience within a similar role
• Have experience working within Key Stage 1
• Be confident delivering intervention programmes and small group support
• Be reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Have a proactive and positive approach to supporting teaching and learning
• Be flexible and confident providing class cover when required
