Teaching Assistant in Camden Area, Greater London

We are seeking a passionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 at a primary school in Camden.

This is a full-time position starting ASAP, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child while also contributing to the wider classroom when required.

You will be:

• Providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil, helping them engage positively with their learning
• Establishing and maintaining firm, consistent boundaries to support positive behaviour
• Supporting the pupil's learning, development, confidence, and emotional regulation
• Using appropriate strategies to help the pupil remain engaged and focused during lessons
• Assisting with general Teaching Assistant duties when required, including classroom support and small-group interventions
• Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime duties

Previous experience with sensory circuits, ADHD and/or Autism would be highly beneficial. Candidates should be patient, proactive, consistent, and confident in supporting children with additional needs.

Trial days are being arranged ASAP to find the right candidate for the position.

This is a full-time, term-time agency position. Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship or accommodate candidates with 20-hour working restrictions.
