Teaching Assistant – Chester

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting and supervising educational activities, including sports and craft projects
• Assisting children with reading, literacy tasks, and developing communication skills
• Preparing classrooms and resources for lessons and activities
• Working with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, including those with additional needs
• Creating displays of children’s work to celebrate achievements
• Supporting teachers in behaviour management and classroom organisation
• Encouraging children's participation during school trips and group activities
• Listening to children read, telling stories, and providing extra support as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or similar settings
• References covering the last two years (with no gaps)
• Current DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
