SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD) – Church Village, Pontypridd

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise learners with PMLD, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
  • Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
  • Help prepare classrooms for lessons and activities
  • Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support
  • Support the delivery of lessons alongside the class teacher
  • Assist learners during break times and lunch periods
  • Engage learners in classroom and outdoor activities
  • Follow the school’s behaviour management policies to promote positive behaviour

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; SEN experience is advantageous
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC); support available for registration
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Passion for supporting children with additional needs and a commitment to inclusive education
