Teacher Assistant – Newport

Position: Teacher Assistant 

Type: Full time - Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Salary: £92.59 per day minimum

Key responsibilities include supporting classroom teaching, assisting with behavioural management, and providing tailored support to students with diverse needs. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Suitable candidates will have:

• Experience of working with young people aged 11-18
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of learners and build positive relationships 
• Flexibility to adapt to individual student needs and foster a positive learning atmosphere
