Location: Kendal, Cumbria
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: Hourly from £14.25 per hour 
Join Our Team!Key Stage are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive schools across the Kendal area. We have exciting full-time opportunities available for September, making this the perfect role for experienced Teaching Assistants or those looking to begin a rewarding career in education.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping pupils achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.
The RoleYour responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and participation.
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), where required.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Preparing classroom resources and assisting with general classroom organisation.
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
We're Looking ForWe would love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience working with children or young people in a school, nursery or care setting.
  • A positive, patient and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A passion for supporting children's education and development.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
