Team Lead / Area Supervisor

We are looking for a Team Lead / Area Supervisor to work with one of our clients who specialise in providing logistics services to contractors. 

Team Leader - Construction Logistics / Offloading Operations

📍 Field Based Role - Midlands and South 

💰 Competitive Salary + Vehicle Allowance (Role is self-employed not subject to CIS - You will be paid the full day rate into your bank account and are responsible for declaring your own earnings) 

🕒 Full Time, Permanent - 5 days a week (hours will vary) 
 

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading provider of construction site logistics and offloading services, working with major housebuilders and construction contractors across the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Team Leader to oversee operational teams, maintain high service standards and support the day-to-day delivery of offloading activities across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support teams working on construction sites.
• Liaise directly with site managers and customers.
• Conduct site and vehicle audits.
• Manage labour allocation, attendance and workload planning.
• Deliver toolbox talks and ongoing training.
• Resolve operational issues and customer concerns.
• Monitor performance and provide regular feedback reports.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed.
• Build strong relationships with clients and site management teams. 

Candidate Requirements

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within construction, logistics, site operations or offloading.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and react to issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Experience working on construction sites.

Essential

✅ Full UK Driving Licence

✅ Valid CSCS Card / SSSTS ideal not essential 

✅ Previous construction site experience

✅ Experience leading or supervising teams
