Hays are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing business in County Armagh for a Production Team Lead. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Operative, Machine Operator or Line Leader looking to take the next step into a supervisory position within a fast-paced, high-volume food production environment.

Working as part of a successful and growing operation, you will lead a small production team while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day running of the line, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.


Your new role

As Production Team Lead, your key responsibilities will include:

Setting up production machinery with the correct packaging, labels and operating parameters
Monitoring machine performance and production efficiencies
Carrying out product changeovers throughout the shift
Ensuring food safety, quality and health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Completing production records and documentation accurately
Leading, supporting and motivating a small team on the production line
Ensuring production targets and dispatch deadlines are achieved


What you'll need to succeed

Experience working within a food manufacturing, FMCG, production or industrial environment.
Previous experience operating production machinery.
Experience supporting, training or overseeing colleagues on the shop floor.
A good understanding of production processes, quality control and health & safety requirements.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Experience completing production documentation and records.
Flexibility to work shifts as required.

This role is particularly suited to a Senior Production Operative, Machine Operator or Line Operator seeking their first formal leadership opportunity.
