Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Team Leader to join a residential children’s service in Ribchester on a temp to perm basis. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to lead a care team, build experience in a specialist setting and secure a permanent position.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Support Worker or existing Team Leader looking to step into a structured leadership position within children’s residential care.
Job role As a Team Leader, you will take responsibility for leading shifts and maintaining a safe, supportive environment:
- Lead and motivate a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of young people at all times
- Supervise staff performance through coaching, probation reviews and appraisals
- Monitor and audit care practices to ensure compliance with Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards
- Support the planning and delivery of activities tailored to individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour support and encourage development and independence
- Level 3 RQF in Child and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) is essential
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role within residential care or children’s services
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge
- Ability to lead a team and support the development of good practice
- £15.88 per hour with opportunity to secure a permanent contract
- Full time, stable hours - 42 hours per week
