Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Production Team Leader to join their growing operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor from a manufacturing environment who enjoys leading people, driving performance and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team within a busy production environment, ensuring production schedules are delivered on time while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Job Description
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of production and assembly personnel.
- Coordinate daily production activities to ensure output targets and customer delivery requirements are achieved.
- Manage and maintain production schedules, balancing resources and priorities to maximise efficiency.
- Monitor productivity, quality and performance metrics, taking corrective action where required.
- Support inventory management, stock accuracy and material availability.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities.
- Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and improve performance.
- Support training, development and performance management activities within the team.
- Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Production Team Leader
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership position.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Strong production scheduling and planning experience.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational performance.
- Understanding of inventory management and production processes.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments.
