Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Production Team Leader to join their growing operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor from a manufacturing environment who enjoys leading people, driving performance and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team within a busy production environment, ensuring production schedules are delivered on time while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Job Description
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of production and assembly personnel.
  • Coordinate daily production activities to ensure output targets and customer delivery requirements are achieved.
  • Manage and maintain production schedules, balancing resources and priorities to maximise efficiency.
  • Monitor productivity, quality and performance metrics, taking corrective action where required.
  • Support inventory management, stock accuracy and material availability.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities.
  • Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and improve performance.
  • Support training, development and performance management activities within the team.
  • Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
 
Production Team Leader
Experience & Skills
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership position.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
  • Strong production scheduling and planning experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational performance.
  • Understanding of inventory management and production processes.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments.
