We are currently recruiting on behalf of a residential childcare provider for an experienced Team Leader Residential Childcare Worker to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

The Role
As a Team Leader, you will support the management team while leading shifts and providing high-quality care to children and young people within the home.
You'll help create a positive, structured and supportive environment that encourages young people to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support residential care staff during shifts.
- Act as a positive role model for both colleagues and young people.
- Support children and young people with their emotional, social and practical development.
- Encourage attendance and engagement with education and activities.
- Promote independence and life skills development.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and care documentation.
- Build positive relationships with families and external professionals.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare remain a priority at all times.
- Participate in activities, outings and programmes alongside young people.
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming and homely environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience within residential childcare or a similar setting.
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- A caring, resilient and child-centred approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for young people.
Desirable
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
- Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Salary & Benefits
- Starting Wage £15.00 per hour

Shift Pattern
- 8:00am - 11:00pm shift
- Sleep-in: 11:00pm - 8:00am
- 1 on / 2 off rota pattern
