Stephen James Consulting are partnering with an independent Learning Disabilities, provider in the search for a Team Leader based in Nottinghamshire. The Team Leader will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care.

This warm friendly service delivers person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, Autism, PDA, mental health needs, complex behaviours, and sensory impairments - empowering individuals to live independently and achieve meaningful outcomes.

As a Team Leader, you will support the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, stepping in to lead in their absence. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide, mentor, and support staff while ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Service Manager with service delivery and lead the team when required
  • Line manage, coach, and develop Support Workers
  • Ensure rotas are effectively managed and shifts are covered
  • Build positive relationships with families, social workers, and external professionals
  • Maintain compliance with CQC standards and contractual requirements
  • Complete audits, spot checks, and maintain accurate records
  • Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, and best practice at all times
  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to service development

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 months experience within complex care working as Support Worker or a Team Leader
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3 in children and young people’s residential care - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient in high pressure environments
  • Knowledge of care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding
  • Basic IT skills
  • Full Clean UK driving licence (required)
