Pay Rate: £47.50 p/h Umbrella

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Team Manager to join the Assessment & Intervention Service at Slough Children First (SCF).

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate leader to play a key role in supporting children and families across Slough. The successful candidate will lead a team of Senior Social Workers and Social Workers, ensuring the effective delivery of statutory and legislative duties while promoting positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing a team of Senior Social Workers and Social Workers within the Assessment & Intervention Service.
  • Providing effective supervision, guidance and support to social work staff.
  • Ensuring the delivery of statutory social work duties and responsibilities.
  • Promoting the welfare and safeguarding of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Effectively managing risk and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to safeguard children.
  • Supporting high-quality assessments and interventions with children and families.
  • Creating a supportive, collaborative and positive working environment within the team.
  • Providing professional leadership and promoting strong social work practice.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of children's services.

Essential Requirements

  • Professional Social Work qualification.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience within Children and Families Social Work.
  • Previous experience in a Team Manager or equivalent management role within children's social care.
  • Strong understanding of statutory children's social work and safeguarding.
  • Experience managing risk and supporting positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
  • Strong leadership, supervision and team management skills.
  • A collaborative and supportive approach to working with colleagues and partner agencies.
  • At least 3 years' post-qualification experience working in Social Work roles within a UK English Local Authority.

Working Arrangement

Hybrid working with a fixed minimum requirement of 3 days per week in the office.

Candidates must be able to commit to working at least three days per week office-based. This requirement is fixed, and candidates unable to meet this requirement should not be submitted.
