Locum Team Manager – Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Service

£41.42 per hour (Umbrella)

We are recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join a dedicated Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Service in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Support Staff, ensuring high-quality, child-centred practice and positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a busy UASC social work team.
• Provide reflective supervision and performance management.
• Oversee safeguarding practice, assessments, and care planning.
• Manage workloads and ensure statutory responsibilities are met.
• Drive service improvement and maintain high practice standards.

Requirements:

• Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience within Children's Services.
• Previous management or supervisory experience.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage complex casework effectively.
