The Team Manager will provide effective leadership and management within the Family Help Service, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children, young people and families.

The post holder will have direct line management responsibility for Consultant Social Workers, Social Workers and Outreach Family Support Workers, providing strong practice leadership, supervision and management oversight.

• Directly line manage Consultant Social Workers, Social Workers and Outreach Family Support Workers.

• Ensure consistent, high-quality practice across the team.

• Support Consultant Social Workers with their management and supervision responsibilities.

• Provide management oversight of cases to ensure appropriate interventions are in place.

• Ensure staff receive regular, effective and reflective supervision.

• Monitor the quality and impact of interventions to improve outcomes for children and young people.

• Manage staff performance, attendance and development.

• Ensure health and safety requirements are met across the team.

• Promote a positive, supportive and accountable working environment.

• Identify practice issues and provide appropriate challenge, guidance and support.

• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement within Family Help.

• Experience of managing or supervising staff within Children’s Services / Social Care.

• Strong understanding of Family Help and strengths-based practice.

• Experience providing practice leadership, supervision and management oversight.

• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and improving outcomes for children and families.

• Ability to manage performance and support staff development.

• Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills.

• Relevant Social Work qualification and professional registration.
