Based:             Camberwell - 1 day in Camberwell and 4 from home

Rate:                 £19 – £20ph PAYE or £24.50 - £26ph UMB

Start Date:        ASAP

Duration:          temp for at least 1 month

Hours:              35 hours per week Monday to Friday - 9am – 5pm occasional evening work may be required

Our client is looking for a Team Manager, to support delivery of services that prevent and respond to youth violence and exploitation across London

 Synopsis of Duties

  • Provide effective line management, supervision and coaching to a team of community-based practitioners, promoting reflective, trauma-informed and high-quality practice.
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of community services, ensuring contractual requirements, performance expectations and organisational values are consistently met.
  • Oversee the delivery of safe, trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate support for children and young adults affected by violence, exploitation or crisis.
  • Act as the safeguarding lead for the team, ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures and promoting a proactive and accountable safeguarding culture.
  • Drive team performance and service improvement through effective use of KPIs, data, case audits, quality assurance activity and feedback from young people and partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong multi-agency partnerships, representing the service professionally with statutory, voluntary and community organisations.
  • Ensuring that confidentiality and security of information is maintained in accordance with our Confidentiality, Data Protection, IT, and Security policies.
  • Promoting sustainable working practices and reducing the environmental impact of St Giles’ work.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of and commitment to values and to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience of supervising and managing a team, including providing regular supervision, coaching, performance management and support for staff development.
  • Experience of managing or overseeing services for children and young adults affected by violence, exploitation, safeguarding concerns or other complex needs.
  • Experience of managing caseloads and ensuring high-quality casework, including risk assessment, support planning, case recording and review.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, procedures and multi-agency practice relating to children and young adults.
  • Experience of monitoring service performance against KPIs, contractual requirements and quality standards, using data, audits and feedback to drive improvement.
  • Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in youth work, social care, criminal justice, safeguarding, health, education or a related field
