Location: Norfolk or Oxfordshire
Working Pattern: Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week in the office
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Recruitment Partner ARM is currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Technical Account Manager to join a growing business within the renewable energy sector.
This is a client-facing role focused on the ongoing management of national portfolios of commercial solar PV systems. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, coordinating performance reporting, operational queries and remedial works while ensuring customers have clear visibility of how their assets are performing.
The Role
As a Technical Account Manager, you will:
- Manage relationships with a portfolio of national commercial solar PV clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical and operational queries.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
- Lead and support regular client review meetings, presenting technical and operational information clearly.
- Produce and quality-check generation and performance reports.
- Monitor system performance against expected yield and investigate underperformance.
- Coordinate with engineering, technical operations and contractors to manage remedial works.
- Keep clients updated on faults, repairs, timescales and outcomes.
- Manage day-to-day operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with internal teams to meet SLA and contractual commitments.
- Escalate recurring or high-impact issues and contribute to root-cause investigations.
- Support contract reviews and renewals with technical input.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and overall service delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone who has experience in a client-facing account management, technical support or operations role, ideally within:
- Solar PV
- Renewable energy
- Electrical
- Engineering
- Energy or other technical sectors
You don't need to be a qualified electrician, but you should have a good understanding of electrical systems and how solar PV installations operate.
You'll also need:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- Confidence working with Excel, reporting systems and data.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach.
- The ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities.
- A full UK driving licence for occasional site visits.
Desirable Experience
- Solar PV monitoring or asset management platforms.
- Remedial works and contractor management.
- Electrical, renewable energy or engineering qualifications.
- Managing national or multi-site portfolios.
- Experience within commercial and industrial solar PV.
