We're looking for a Senior Technical Architect to lead the design and assurance of complex digital services. You'll shape cloud-native and event-driven solutions, provide architectural governance, and ensure technology aligns with wider organisational and government strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient architecture solutions.
  • Lead event-driven architecture design, including Pub/Sub and data streaming patterns.
  • Define cloud architecture using AWS, container, hosting, and networking best practices.
  • Support Agile and DevOps delivery teams.
  • Design and advise on Identity & Access Management solutions (OAuth, OIDC, etc.).
  • Present solutions to technical governance and architecture review boards.
  • Communicate and justify design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assurance across services, ensuring quality, compliance, and strategic alignment.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong background in Technical, Solution, or Enterprise Architecture.
  • Expertise in architecture frameworks, modelling techniques, patterns, and standards.
  • Experience with event-driven and distributed systems.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-native technologies.
  • Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience with IAM, OAuth, and OIDC.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within government or highly regulated environments is desirable.
