Covering our sites in Scotland: Edinburgh, Menstrie, Pitlochry, Broxburn, Tranent (you will have responsibility for key locations including Islay and Blair Athol, while also providing technical support across the wider Scottish portfolio)

We are looking for an experienced Technical Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of hard FM services across a portfolio of client sites in Scotland. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual requirements, and building effective relationships with stakeholders across multiple locations.
This is a varied and mobile position suited to someone who enjoys working across different sites, managing operational challenges, and contributing to a collaborative facilities management team.
The role will involve travel between client sites, including face-to-face stakeholder meetings, technical inspections, contractor management and operational support.
Typically, the role will involve four days on site and one day working from home, although there may often be a requirement to be on site five days a week to manage permits, meet contractors, and maintain visibility with stakeholders.
A company car will be provided, therefore a clean, valid driving licence is required for this role.

As a Technical Facilities Manager you'll:
- Lead the delivery of hard FM and technical services across designated sites.
- Ensure all KPIs, SLAs, PPMs and reactive works are delivered to contractual standards.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance through CAFM systems, mobile engineers, contractors and technical teams.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, mandatory and SFG20 requirements.
- Manage subcontractors, contractors and technical service providers.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients, the Account Support Manager and wider team.
- Manage Health & Safety, risk assessments, method statements, permits and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and actively manage site risk registers.
- Work closely with client Engineering and Assurance teams to coordinate work orders and technical requirements.
- Support monthly client and stakeholder meetings.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets and expenditure.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation and environmental improvements.
- Prepare costing and variation orders for scope changes, reactive works and projects.
- Provide operational cover and technical support to other Scottish sites when required.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and service delivery across the portfolio.
What we're looking for:
You will ideally have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within Facilities Management, with responsibility for hard services.
- A strong technical background in either mechanical or electrical services.
- A minimum of a City & Guilds trade qualification or equivalent.
- Experience managing engineers, contractors and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
- Experience working with CAFM systems.
- Practical budget and financial management experience.
- Experience managing PPM and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing requirements.
- Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel across Scotland.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- City & Guilds Mechanical/Electrical qualification or equivalent.
- Proven hard services and asset management experience.
- CAFM experience.
- Practical understanding of Health & Safety and relevant legislation.
- Budget management experience.
Desirable Experience
- Professional Facilities Management qualification or equivalent.
- Experience managing Legionella and water quality requirements.
- Working knowledge of Asbestos Management.
- Experience working within corporate, complex or multi-site environments.
