As Technical Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the site's quality and compliance standards while acting as a trusted contact for both customers and suppliers. Leading a team of two, you will have the autonomy to drive improvements, influence decision-making and contribute to the continued success of the business.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and continuously improving the site's Quality Management System.
  • Leading internal, customer and third-party audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with all food safety, legality and quality standards.
  • Acting as the primary technical contact for customers and suppliers.
  • Managing customer queries, complaints and corrective actions.
  • Supporting supplier approval, compliance and performance activities.
  • Maintaining technical documentation, specifications and records.
  • Leading HACCP and food safety processes across the site.
  • Managing, developing and supporting two direct reports.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in a Technical Manager, QA Manager or Assistant Technical Manager position within food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, food safety and compliance.
  • Experience managing customer and supplier relationships.
  • A proven track record of leading audits and driving improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • HACCP qualification and a solid understanding of food legislation.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring team members.
