If so, this exciting role could be for you! Our client is Looking for a technical manager to drive quality, food safety, technical, legal and ensure customer requirements are met in full. You would manage a small team across the sites and ensure systems are in place to deliver continuous improvement whilst maintaining third party certification
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret requirements of BRC quality standards, Food Safety and Gluten Free.
- Co-ordinate all customer audits & visits and ensure actions raised are completed in a timely manner and there are no re occurrence of non-conformities.
- Ensure a comprehensive HACCP system is implemented, monitored, and reviewed to ensure product safety is maintained.
- Ensure that the Company quality manual is a comprehensive guide to the Company’s quality systems.
- Monitor and ensure up to date procedures in respect of traceability, calibration, testing, production controls and other quality systems.
- Maintain up to date QC records and control all documentation regarding quality systems.
- Raise and discuss quality issues with senior management and continually seek to develop awareness within the Company of the importance of quality procedures.
- Identify any non-conformances through regular formal and informal quality and hygiene audits and ensure that corrective action is taken and documented.
- Carry out audits of suppliers as required
- Maintain and update customer specifications for all products.
- As required arrange for external analysis.
- Support the Sales team by assisting the planning and co-ordination of new product development.
- Recommend to General Manager any changes which would improve efficiency and conformance to the quality standard.
- Co-ordinating outside contractors such as Laundry, Pest Control, Waste & Chemical suppliers
- Manage and be responsible for the BRCGS Gluten Free Management Program at Frampton.
- Hygiene Supervisor reports to you, and site hygiene must be kept to a high standard.
- Organise BRC, Femas, Soil Association & Biodynamic audits.
Requirements
- Technical Management background/Quality Manager
- Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP and BRCGS)
- Forward facing, personable
- GMP auditing
- FMCG background – auditing
- Attention to detail
- Good technical knowledge and enthusiasm to learn.
- Good at colleague, customer, and supplier relationships.
- An enthusiasm to continuously improve the product quality, through analysis, investigation.
- Working of unsociable and weekend work to meet the needs of the business when reasonably required.
Hours and package:
Hours will be 07:30 to 16:30 Mon to Fri
£40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
