The Role 
As Technical Manager, you will play a key role supporting the preconstruction and commercial teams across a range of exciting workplace projects. You will be responsible for managing tender preparation, subcontractor coordination, cost planning and technical documentation, helping deliver competitive and high-quality project bids. 
This is a fast-paced role where you will work closely with Technical Directors, subcontractors and project teams to ensure projects are commercially competitive, technically compliant and delivered to the highest standards. 
 
What You’ll Be Doing 
📋 Manage tender documentation, subcontractor enquiries and tender analysis 
💷 Support cost planning, estimating and commercial reviews 
🤝 Coordinate subcontractors, meetings, surveys and technical workshops 
📑 Prepare technical documentation, programmes and client presentation materials 
🏗️ Support planning applications, Building Control and project compliance requirements 
🦺 Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CDM and company procedures 
 
What We’re Looking For 
🎓 Degree level qualification in a relevant subject 
🏗️ Experience within the construction industry and commercial awareness 
💷 Strong understanding of cost planning and value engineering 
📘 Basic knowledge of JCT contracts 
🧠 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
🗣️ Confident presenter, communicator and listener 
⚡ Highly motivated with enthusiasm and ambition to succeed 
🤝 Positive, proactive and collaborative approach 
📊 Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
📍 Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
