Technical Manager – Remediation

Location: North London
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Comprehensive Package

About the Company

Our client is a leading residential developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and an expanding remediation programme, they are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to join their specialist Remediation Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of remediation projects, ensuring buildings are brought up to the latest regulatory and safety standards while working alongside internal teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

The Role

As Technical Manager, you will lead the technical delivery of remediation schemes across a range of residential developments, ensuring compliance with current legislation, building safety requirements, and project objectives.

You will be responsible for managing consultants, reviewing technical solutions, driving design coordination, and supporting projects through planning, design, construction, and handover phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of remediation projects across London and the South East.
  • Manage external design consultants, specialists, and contractors.
  • Coordinate design information and ensure technical compliance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Review and approve remediation strategies and construction details.
  • Ensure projects comply with the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and relevant fire safety legislation.
  • Drive design team meetings and resolve technical challenges.
  • Liaise with internal departments including Construction, Commercial, Land, and Customer Care.
  • Manage programme milestones, technical risks, and project budgets.
  • Support submissions to Building Control, warranty providers, and statutory authorities.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Technical Manager, Design Manager  or similar role within residential development or main contracting.
  • Strong understanding of remediation, cladding, fire safety, and building envelope projects.
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act, HRBs, and current building regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage consultants and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience delivering residential projects within London and the South East.
