About the role – Site Technical Manager
This is a great time to join the business, as the business continues to evolve and transition from its start-up phase to the next phase of growth.
This would suit an experienced and hands-on Site Technical Manager, comfortable leading all technical and quality activities across the factory, with responsibility for ensuring food safety, quality, legality, and customer (retailer) compliance standards, as well as collaborating with customers to drive product quality, reduce complaints and maintain audit-ready standards at all times.
A key leadership role, and working very closely with the leadership team, customers, and business owners. You will help continue to progress the Technical agenda, drive food safety and quality management across the business, and ensure all compliance, raising the visibility of Food Safety within the business and externally.
About you;
Hands on in your style and a proactive mindset are absolute pre-requisites for this role.
You must have a strong desire to work for a small business, in a diverse role where you maybe working with the Engineer on resolving a quality problem in once instance, and then the next, in the boardroom presenting to the SLT.
Without doubt, you must know ‘what good looks like’ in terms of chilled and frozen food safety standards, protocols and systems. SALSA experience would be key, and strong knowledge of BRCGS food safety standards would be essential also.
Experience leading customer audits and third-party audits.
Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety systems.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. A creative thinker that can think outside of the box.
Experience managing customer complaints and technical relationships.
This role would suit an ambitious Technical Leader who can balance factory standards, customer expectations and team leadership, while driving continuous improvement across a fast-growing, agile, pacey and ever-evolving food manufacturing business.
And finally
Salary - £55,000 - £65,000 + performance rated bonus + company benefits.
Potential to work from home one day a week.
Typical working hours, Mon-Fri 9.00 am – 5.00 pm (maybe able to flex to suit).
