The Opportunity
Cherry Professional are delighted to be recruiting for a Technical Product Manager on behalf of a market-leading technology and manufacturing business based in Nottingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technical and product development professional to take ownership of a specialist displays product portfolio, leading product innovation, compliance, lifecycle management, and the development of new solutions from concept through to launch.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Lead the development and management of display products from concept through to launch and ongoing support.
- Support the creation and delivery of product roadmaps and future product strategies.
- Manage product portfolios, development pipelines and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure products meet performance, quality, customer and commercial objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, configuration guides, testing procedures and support materials.
- Support product support teams with technical issues, upgrades and product obsolescence management.
- Ensure products comply with relevant legislation, standards and certifications, including CE and UKCA requirements.
- Maintain technical files, product certifications and compliance records.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess potential impacts on products and business operations.
- Support governance, quality assurance and cybersecurity compliance activities.
- Manage cross-functional projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and budgets.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external development partners throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, compliance status and potential risks.
- Support customer discussions relating to product specifications, functionality and compliance requirements.
- Assist with the selection and ongoing management of external suppliers, development partners and manufacturers.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience within product development, technical management or product lifecycle management.
- Experience working with commercial displays, digital signage, embedded systems, electronic products or IT infrastructure solutions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with external suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of product development methodologies and stage-gate processes.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on delivering business value.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborative leadership style and strong decision-making capability.
