Our client is a leading consultancy specialising in energy, utilities and sustainability solutions, helping organisations improve operational performance, deliver infrastructure projects and achieve their environmental objectives.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Technical Projects Manager to lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of technical and infrastructure projects. The Role

As Technical Projects Manager, you will oversee projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with clients, internal technical teams, contractors and external stakeholders, you'll provide leadership across multiple projects while managing risks, programme delivery and commercial performance.

This role would suit someone with experience delivering projects within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, building services or sustainability sectors.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple technical projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, programmes and resources.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying and mitigating risks and resolving issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards and health & safety requirements.
  • Manage project reporting, governance and financial performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice across project delivery.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities to add value for clients.


About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Proven experience managing complex technical or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management skills with responsibility for budgets, programmes and resource planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance quality, cost and programme objectives.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prince2, APM or PMP qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous.
  • Experience within energy, utilities, sustainability, construction, engineering or building services would be highly desirable.
