We are recruiting on behalf of an esteemed and award-winning independent automotive business near Ewhurst, Surrey, for the position of Technical Sales Advisor. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong automotive technical background to transition into a customer-focused role within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful individual will play a crucial part in delivering excellent customer service while utilising their technical expertise to facilitate smooth vehicle repair processes.

Duties of the Technical Sales Advisor:
  • Manage enquiries from multiple channels, offering technical advice and support
  • Explain vehicle symptoms and repair options clearly to customers
  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for vehicle repairs
  • Follow up on initial enquiries to build confidence and convert into confirmed bookings
  • Foster customer relationships through transparent communication and technical guidance
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Handle technical discussions related to modern vehicles with confidence and professionalism
  • Use modern systems and software for quote generation and communication
  • Maintain high levels of organisation, attention to detail, and customer service standards
Requirements of the Technical Sales Advisor:
  • Strong technical knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repairs
  • Proven experience in a technical or customer-facing automotive role
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex repair issues simply
  • Confidence in speaking with customers over the phone and face-to-face
  • Ability to produce detailed estimates and quotations accurately
  • Organised, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience as the Technical Sales Advisor
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to customer service and enquiries
  • Competence in using automotive computer systems and technology
