Job Title: Technical Sales Consultant, Renewable Energy, Loughborough

Salary: £40,000 basic, uncapped commission, £50,000 to £80,000 OTE. Realistic OTE around £70,000.

Location: Loughborough, East Midlands. On site five days a week at first. Full time, permanent, free parking

You already sell renewables, and you know what a good lead is worth. You want a business where the leads are better, the design is bespoke, and you are first in, with room to lead.

This is the first sales hire at a fast-growing renewable energy installer. No sales team yet, no ceiling on commission, and a real route to lead the team you help build.

Why this role

Every lead is organic. Homeowners have already contacted the business, and many book their own calls. There are no cold calls and no bought data. You spend your time selling, not chasing.

New government-backed funding means customers no longer need an upfront payment. That is driving demand, and the business expects to be very busy over the next couple of years. You would be in at the start of it.

What you'll do

You will speak to the customer, listen to what they want, book a virtual survey, then recommend the right mix of solar PV, air source heat pumps, battery storage and EV chargers. You prepare the proposal and take it all the way to order. Around one in two virtual surveys turns into a sale.

Every system is bespoke. Designs are built on the company's own online tools, not templates. Design, survey and installation all happen in house, and those colleagues sit right alongside you.

Training and growth

You will not be starting from the basics. The aim is to deepen what you already know. Heat pumps are a big window of opportunity over the next few years, and the head of sales is deeply technical and a natural teacher. The in-house technical team and project managers add depth on design, survey and install.

You are the first sales hire, so as the team scales, the route to team lead or sales manager is real. Today the focus is domestic. Commercial work is next, then public sector, which means bigger deals and more to sell into. In time, you can develop and lead a team of your own.

About you

You are highly motivated and hungry to progress. You currently sell, or are closely involved in selling, solar PV, battery storage, air source heat pumps or EV chargers, in domestic and/or commercial renewables.

You can explain a system plainly to a homeowner and talk through the financial return. You know the sector well enough to be credible on a survey call, and you have the results to show for it.

You do not need to be an engineer, designer or surveyor. CRM and proposal software, or a technical qualification, are a plus.

Where you'll work

You will be in the Loughborough office five days a week at first. This role is not remote.
