Technical Sales Engineer (Truck & Commercial Vehicle parts)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business within the commercial vehicle sector for an experienced Technical Sales Executive to drive truck parts sales and develop customer relationships across a designated territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional with experience in commercial vehicle parts, aftermarket sales, motor factors, or the wider transport industry. You'll join a successful team with a strong reputation for customer service and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales of truck and commercial vehicle parts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into sales.
• Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Provide product advice and technical support where required.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive excellent service.
• Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets.

About You

Essential

• Previous experience in a sales role within truck parts, commercial vehicle parts, automotive aftermarket, or a related industry.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to generate and grow sales.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of the HGV truck industry is essential within a technical discipline would be highly advantageous
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• Knowledge of commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers, or fleet operations.
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Existing customer contacts within the transport, haulage, or commercial vehicle sector.
