As a Technical Shift Manager, you'll lead technical activities across your shift, ensuring production meets the highest food safety, legal and customer requirements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your responsibilities as Technical Shift Manager
  • Lead the technical and quality assurance teams throughout the shift, ensuring compliance with food safety and customer standards.
  • Monitor production activities, investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Review and verify technical documentation including CCP, traceability and hygiene records.
  • Support internal, external and customer audits while maintaining site compliance.
  • Promote a positive food safety and quality culture across the operation.
  • Produce technical reports, risk assessments and documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
 
What we're looking for in a Technical Shift Manager
  • Experience leading technical or quality teams within food manufacturing or another regulated production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, quality management and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyse production and quality data to make informed operational decisions.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and quality or production management systems, with knowledge of BRCGS and retailer standards being advantageous.
  • Relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Science or equivalent industry experience.
 
Working Hours
  • Tuesday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Wednesday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00am – 6:30pm
  • Saturday: 6:00am – 6:00pm
