Technical Support Advisor in Lincolnshire

W Talent are exclusively representing a growing specialist business who are looking to recruit a Technical Support Advisor to join their expanding Technical Support team.

This is a field-based role covering Yorkshire and the North West, supporting food and beverage manufacturers across areas including York, Leeds, Manchester and surrounding areas.

The role will involve customer site visits, hygiene troubleshooting, audits, training and project work, alongside office-based administration and customer support. The level of travel will vary depending on customer requirements and projects.

Job Description

The Technical Support Advisor will work closely with customers to provide practical technical and hygiene support, building strong relationships with Hygiene Managers and their teams.

The role will involve a mixture of customer visits, project work and office-based support. Some weeks may involve one or two site visits, while other projects may require several days travelling between sites. Occasional overnight stays will also be required.

When office-based, responsibilities will include audit reporting, planning customer visits, responding to technical queries and supporting ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites across Yorkshire and the North West
• Build strong relationships with Hygiene Managers and site teams
• Support customers with hygiene and chemical-related troubleshooting
• Carry out customer audits and produce follow-up reports
• Identify potential issues and recommend practical improvements
• Deliver chemical awareness, COSHH and hygiene training
• Provide focused training where specific hygiene issues are identified
• Support new customer account implementation and onboarding
• Assist with site surveys, product demonstrations and technical projects
• Respond to customer queries and provide ongoing technical support
• Manage your own diary, site visits and workload
• Key Requirements
• Experience within food manufacturing
• Background in Quality, Technical, Hygiene, Food Safety or a similar role
• Good understanding of food hygiene and manufacturing standards
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confident working with both shop-floor teams and management
• Practical approach to problem solving
• Good organisational skills
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge around chemicals and hygiene
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable with regular travel and occasional overnight stays

Advantageous Requirements

• Quality Technician, QA Technician, Technical Assistant, Technical Coordinator or similar experience
• Previous hygiene team experience
• Experience with customer, retailer or certification audits
• Food safety/hygiene qualifications
• Experience delivering training
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals or hygiene systems
• Customer-facing technical experience
