We Are Zenith are proud to be working with one of the UK’s leading energy suppliers who are looking for a Technical Surveyor to join their expanding team. The Technical Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out detailed property surveys to support the installation of renewable energy, retrofit, insulation and heating measures. This role ensures that all surveys, designs, specifications and associated documentation are completed accurately, safely and in compliance with relevant regulations, company policies and contractual requirements. The Technical Surveyor reports to the Contract Manager or Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed property surveys for renewable energy, retrofit, insulation and energy efficiency measures.
  • Produce accurate system designs, layouts and specifications using approved software and surveying tools.
  • Ensure all surveyed measures comply with current regulations, industry standards and manufacturer requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Identify hazards, risks and potential installation issues at survey stage and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Complete risk assessments and ensure compliance with company Health and Safety Policies and procedures.
  • Provide clear and accurate survey information to installation teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Clearly explain proposed work, installation requirements and customer responsibilities prior to project commencement.
  • Ensure all survey documentation, reports, drawings and records are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of surveys and associated works through company systems to enable traceability.
  • Contribute to the company corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Person specification:

  • Proven experience carrying out detailed property surveys for renewable energy, retrofit, insulation and energy efficiency measures.
  • Strong understanding of renewable technologies, health and safety requirements and quality compliance standards. 
  • Professional, organised and customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving license is essential
  • Experience with MCS, PAS 2035, or Retrofit frameworks is desirable.
