Job Role: Technical Trainer (Plant, Agriculture, Hire Equipment)
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, Days, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
The Client:
Interaction are working with a well-established specialist engineering organisation that supports customers nationwide with advanced machinery and technical solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Technical Trainer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a specialist vehicle, agricultural equipment, or heavy machinery background who wants to use their technical expertise to develop and deliver training for engineers, employees, and customers.
The Package:

The Duties:
· Develop and deliver technical training programmes for employees, engineers, and customers.
· Create high-quality training materials including presentations, handouts, technical documents, and e-learning content.
· Deliver training on machine operation, programming, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
· Provide technical training using knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and programming.
· Become a subject matter expert in digital logic and telematics systems.
· Support customers with technical advice, route recording, and product guidance.
· Maintain and update training programmes to include new products, updates, and innovations.
· Keep accurate training records and manage certification following training events.
· Support warranty procedures, product recalls, and modification programmes.
· Organise external training requirements, including CPC and statutory training.
The Requirements:
· Technical background within specialist vehicles, agricultural equipment, heavy machinery, or engineering.
· Strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
· Hands-on experience with diagnostics, fault finding, and machinery repair.
· Previous experience delivering operator through to technical training.
· Experience producing technical documentation and training materials.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
· Relevant engineering qualifications (vehicle, agricultural, mechanical, or electrical).
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Teaching or training qualifications would be advantageous.
· Full UK Driving Licence.
