Are you an experienced plumbing professional looking to step away from the tools and pass your trade knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
As Technical Tutor - Plumbing, you'll deliver practical plumbing training for an education provider in the South East, supporting learners to build the technical skills, safety awareness and confidence the industry expects.
You'll combine workshop delivery with the underpinning theory, adapting your approach to learners working at different levels and starting points, and tracking their progress through to achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering practical plumbing sessions alongside the supporting theory.
Supporting learners in the workshop to develop technical competence and safe working practice.
Assessing practical work and providing constructive feedback that helps learners progress.
Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records in line with awarding body requirements.
Maintaining a safe, well-organised and professional workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
A Level 2 or higher vocational qualification in plumbing or a related discipline
Substantial hands-on experience in the plumbing trade
Strong practical knowledge of current industry standards and practice
The ability to motivate and support learners of varying abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
