Summary
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our client in Woking on a 12‑month contract. This position will suit someone with strong English language skills and experience preparing detailed documentation for management. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives on producing clear and accurate reports in a structured office environment.

Our client is a recognised organisation within the engineering and technical services sector, delivering high‑quality solutions across a range of projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating plans and professional documentation to project standards
- Draft budgeting narratives and financial explanations for internal stakeholders
- Create concise technical reports for management review and decision‑making
- Maintain document templates and ensure consistent formatting and style compliance
- Liaise with engineers and project teams to gather relevant technical information
- Review and edit materials for clarity, accuracy and completeness
- Support colleagues in document control processes where required
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficient with word processing and personal computer applications
- Strong typing accuracy and speed
- Proven experience creating operating plans, budgeting narratives and technical reports
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Familiarity with document control systems or technical publishing platforms
- Previous experience in an engineering or industrial environment
- Ability to manage multiple document workflows under tight deadlines
