Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic


Location: Northampton
Salary: £32,000 Basic Salary Depending on Experience | OTE £38,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm | 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role
As a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs while ensuring every vehicle is completed to the highest manufacturer standards.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work efficiently
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults across a range of vehicles
  • Completing repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Conducting vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required
  • Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and safety standards
  • Accurately completing workshop documentation and job cards
  • Working closely with the wider workshop team to deliver excellent customer service


 
You'll also have:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • At least 3 years' experience within the automotive industry
  • Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills
  • MOT Licence advantageous but not essential
  • Your own tools and toolbox
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
