Telehandler Driver / General Labourer – Manchester

Location: Manchester, M4 4DH
Rate: £19-£21 per hour
Start Date: 30th September
Duration: Initially 4–8 weeks
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Approach Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Telehandler Driver / General Labourer to work on a project in central Manchester.

The successful candidate will be required to operate a telehandler both on site and on the road, primarily assisting with the movement of cladding sheets and other site materials. When not operating the telehandler, you will also be expected to assist with general labouring duties across the site.

Duties will include:

• Operating a telehandler safely and efficiently on site

• Driving the telehandler on public roads when required

• Moving and handling cladding sheets and other materials

• Loading, unloading and distributing materials around site

• General labouring and assisting other trades when required

• Cleaning and maintaining tidy working areas

• Supporting general day-to-day site requirements

• Following all site health & safety procedures

Requirements:

• Valid Telehandler qualification/ticket

• Full UK driving licence and ability to operate the telehandler on public roads

• Valid CSCS/CPCS/NPORS as applicable

• Previous telehandler experience – experienced operators preferred

• Previous construction site experience

• Reliable, flexible and willing to assist with general labouring duties when not operating the machine

• PPE will be povided 

The role is expected to run for an initial 4–8 weeks, with a start date of 30th September.
