Salary: £31,000–£40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Holiday: 30 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Telesales Specialist to join our Croydon office team. You will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities, engaging with potential customers and promoting Apollogrid’s solar PV and energy storage solutions.

You will manage customers throughout the early sales journey, from initial contact and qualification through to arranging surveys and supporting the wider sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound sales calls and digital outreach using company-generated leads.
  • Promote solar PV, battery storage and renewable energy solutions to residential and commercial customers.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable energy solutions.
  • Qualify leads and identify genuine sales opportunities.
  • Arrange customer consultations and site surveys.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, customer notes and sales activity reports.
  • Follow up enquiries and manage customer communications effectively.
  • Work towards agreed sales targets, KPIs and conversion goals.
  • Attend regular sales training sessions and team meetings.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant sales/customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Strong telephone sales, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive, target-driven approach.
  • Good IT skills and experience using CRM systems or sales platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer enquiries.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous telesales, outbound sales, business development or lead generation experience.
  • Experience within renewable energy, solar PV, battery storage or related industries.
  • Knowledge of clean energy solutions and customer sales processes.
  • Mandarin Chinese language skills are advantageous for internal collaboration but are not essential.
