We are currently recruiting for an experienced Telesales Team Leader to join a well-established and growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Telesales or Customer Service professional who enjoys leading a team, developing people and driving both sales performance and exceptional customer service. You'll take responsibility for a direct team of approximately 8 Telesales Executives, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and support while ensuring individual and team targets are consistently achieved.
The Role
- As Telesales Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating and supporting a team of Telesales Executives
- Communicating departmental goals, targets and expectations
- Coaching/developing team members through call monitoring, side-by-side sessions, regular 1-2-1s
- Supporting recruitment, training, development, holiday planning, performance and absence management
- Monitoring team performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Ensuring the team is prepared for customer calls and able to proactively resolve customer queries, complaints and product issues
- Driving engagement with sales incentives and identifying missed sales opportunities
- Supporting daily team huddles and encouraging open communication and collaboration
- Implementing new processes and ensuring team members are fully trained on any changes
What We're Looking For
- The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A strong background in telesales and customer service
- Previous experience leading, coaching or developing a team
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A good understanding of sales techniques and the ability to identify sales opportunities
- Strong IT and administration skills
- A commercially focused and solutions-driven approach
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
- Experience working with reports and identifying performance trends
- Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience within a contact centre, customer service or similar environment would be advantageous
