Temporary Assistant Accountant

An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team and support financial reporting, controls and month-end activities.
If you are AAT qualified with experience as an Accounts Assistant or a Senior Finance Assistant, you could align perfectly with this role. Experience across the board with accounting, reconciliations and month-end support are important areas that you will require experience in.
This is a 6-month temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with management accounts preparation
- Fixed asset accounting
- VAT returns and statutory reporting support
- Supporting audit requests and finance projects
About You
- AAT qualified or actively studying ACCA/CIMA
- Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or Senior Finance Assistant
- Strong month-end experience
- Confident with accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Experience producing elements of management accounts
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups and data analysis
