Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Temporary Warehouse Operative to work for a company in Milton Park.

Role: Temporary Warehouse operative

Salary: £13.54 Per hour

Location: Milton Park

Hours: 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative:

  • Booking in incoming goods and checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Inspecting goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and reporting any issues.
  • Accurately recording stock movements and updating internal systems.
  • Organising and storing incoming materials in the correct warehouse locations.
  • Picking and preparing materials for internal dispatch.
  • Ensuring internal orders are correctly labelled, packaged, and delivered to the appropriate department or production area.
  • Coordinating internal dispatches to ensure materials are supplied on time.
  • Preparing and assembling bag dressings in line with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Checking bag dressings for accuracy, quality, and completeness before dispatch.
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels and carrying out regular stock checks.
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe at all times.
  • Following all health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Operating warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with training.
  • Supporting colleagues and other departments with general warehouse duties as required.
  • Reporting stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and operational issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within required timescales.

About you:

  • Experience in stores or warehouse type environment.
  • Knowledge in general stores procedures.
  • Picking and packing knowledge.
  • Understanding of how to follow safe working practices.
  • Attention to detail - accuracy in completing transactions.
  • Computer literate (MS Office tools).
  • Able to communicate clearly with internal and external customers as required.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Able to prioritise as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Physically able
