Temporary Works Coordinator in Bridgwater

We are currently seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and heavy civils projects across the UK.

• Act as the designated Temporary Works Coordinator on major civils projects.
• Manage the temporary works process in accordance with BS 5975.
• Coordinate temporary works designs and approvals with designers, site teams, and subcontractors.
• Ensure all temporary works are properly identified, planned, implemented, maintained, and dismantled.
• Maintain Temporary Works Registers and associated documentation.
• Chair Temporary Works meetings and provide technical guidance to operational teams.
• Ensure inspections are completed and permits are issued where required.
• Promote the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across projects.

• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification.
• Proven experience working within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, water, utilities, bridges, or other heavy civils environments.
• Strong knowledge of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures.
• Experience coordinating multiple temporary works packages on live construction projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Experience working for Tier 1 or major civil engineering contractors.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution.
